MONOKROM Mardi Gras – Phil Austin Opens Tuesday 17th 6pm.
PHIL AUSTIN
Phil Austin is a street photographer focused on capturing honest moments of self-expression. At Sydney Mardi Gras, he uses black and white photography to document the power of people being unapologetically themselves. Stripping away color puts focus on emotion, gesture, and human connection — revealing stories that might otherwise be lost in the noise. Phil’s work aims to show that authenticity isn’t just a personal choice, but a public statement with the power to inspire change.t with the power to inspire change.Monokrom Mardi Gras – Phil Austin
