Calling all artists Pyrmont Art Prize 2022Sat/Sun 28/29 MAY 22 at Pirrama Park, Ultimo. Entry $20. Works up to 40×50 cm on stretched canvas (no frames or glass). Use your own canvas, or collect a canvas from TAP Art Gallery, 259 Riley St, Surry Hills (12-pm daily)

TAP will be giving 2 art classes at the Festival on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May at 2-4 pm
All materials supplied including aprons and you’ll have a finished masterpiece to take home.

First prize – $250 Derivan art supplies prize pack
Second prize – $175 Derivan art supplies prize pack
Third prize – $100 Derivan art supplies prize pack

How to Enter

  • Entry Fee $20. 
  • Entries must be on stretched canvas no bigger than 20″ x 20″; unframed; no glass.  
  • Collect canvas from Tap Gallery: 259 Riley Street, Surry Hills or provide your own.  
  • Deliver works to TAP Art Gallery by Wednesday 25th May 12-6 pm. This will then be displayed at the 2-day food and wine festival in Pirrama Park.

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2022, Women on Boards will award first prize for The International Women’s Day ART PRIZE at TAP Gallery on Tuesday 8th March.

The International Womens Day Art Prize is now in its 13th year. Last year saw more than 150 entries in all media and the winner was selected by guest judges. Also included was a people’s choice award inviting the attending public to vote for their favourite work on the evening.

“We are passionate about the progression of women in all walks of life and it’s for this reason we have set up this annual prize” said Ruth Medd, Chair, Women on Boards.

Women on Boards is the leading advocate for improving gender diversity on Australian boards and work to improve women’s access to, and opportunities to be selected for, board positions in all sectors.

The prize has an open theme allowing female artists to freely express themselves in all mediums & genres.

Celebrating International Women’s Day with the launch of the “WOB International Women’s Art Prize” TAP Gallery is featuring a week of Women’s events.  Stay tuned for more Women in film,music & much more. All of these events are open to the public and all are welcome.
