PORTRAIT RAFFLE by Sydney based artist and Manager of TAP Gallery, Lesley Dimmick OAM.
You are invited to be in the special draw to win a portrait by Lesley Dimmick OAM. The winner will be able to provide the artist with a photograph of their subject, or subjects in black-and-white, or colour and expect to receive a distinctive expressive vibrant response to canvas. The subject selected may be a person, a couple, a pet, or perhaps a much loved object of desire. Who do you see?
The finished portrait will be included in the forthcoming Running Tap Book publication, which has been postponed til unconfirmed date towards the end-of-year.
The draw will be held via the Facebook event page at a date to be advised. You will need to register your interest through the event page.

A book of 100 raffle tickets can be purchased for $1,000 by any company who will be acknowledged as a sponsor in the book.

Sydney Silverbacks wrestling club are excited to announce the launch of our 2019 wrestling calendar featuring the work of 12 awesome photographers. We are presenting gorgeous works by Jason Nichol, Michael Lynch, #iamisraelmolina555, Rod Spark, Michael August, Claudia Sagrapanti, Daniel Jacobs. Ricardo Andres Figueredo Ochoa, Serkan Tuncay, Mark Martirez, Simonology, Travis de Jonk and Michael Oelofse
Their work will be on exhibition at the gallery from 12th to 18th November with the launch event on Tuesday 13th November 2018 from 7pm at TAP Gallery 1/259 Riley Street, Surry Hills.
Framed photographic works and the 2019 calendars will be for sale to raise funds for the LGBTIQA+ community at the Newtown Asylum Seekers Centre. Come along and enjoy a drink and a chat with the wrestlers, the artists and representatives from the LGBTIQA – community group.
TAP Gallery is calling for photographic submissions to document its past operations from 1989-2015, in Taylor Square and of its Palmer and Burton Streets premises. Photographs received will be considered for the publication ofRunning TAP, a book project to be launched next year that documents the Gallery’s activities and accounts for the life-and-times of the independent arts spanning 30 years in Darlinghurst, Sydney (1990-2020).
We are looking for photographs that evoke ideas and emotions in ways that words alone cannot. High quality photographic imaging in print, scanned, or other forms of digitisation is preferred. Larger than A3 size in print-form will not be eligible. Permissions and attribution are required. Permission and attribution forms are available here: Permission form and Attribution form.
