Meet the artists’ Talk – Saturday 20th April at 3 pm
kingsXstitch takes what’s meant to be quick digital images shared between two sexually charged men, and transforms them into slow and deliberate cross stitch pieces: a medium typically reserved for much more traditional, wholesome subjects.
This exhibition primarily features the two artists and their friends as subjects, and by placing the pieces in a public space aims to be a second ‘coming out’ for the sexual shame that many gay men still may carry.
