My Current Barefoot Painter Exhibition could be described as a postmodern, impressionistic, eclectic range. In these art works, varying in themes, I have attempted to capture unique dimensions of beauty in our world with the intent to add a drop of positivity to life. Pieces in this exhibition range from Botanicals, wildlife, Landscapes, abstract paintings, cartoons, and Pop-Art.
Inspired by Nature, God`s Creation and various artists, many times in my art I have attempted to passionately capture and convey some of the beauty in this vast hustle bustle busy world we all live in. My work could never do creation`s wide expanse of beauty justice. Inspired by Artists: Ken Duncan, Nigel Dennis, Bridget Riley, Piet Mondrian, Claude Monet, Andy Warhol and Ed Schimmel.
Often inspired by nature my Landscapes, Botanicals and Wild Life pieces have been an attempt to capture creation`s authentic essence. A lot of My work has been inspired by nature and Artists: Australian Photographer Ken Duncan and South African Photographer Nigel Dennis.
My Range of Abstract Paintings has mostly been inspired by British Painter; Bridget Riley. These works are Schematically painted geometrical repetitive shapes with the aim to convey a sense of nostalgia. Desiring for viewers to be Drifted away from daily stresses to a hypnotic realm of calm.
Cartoon drawings are inspired by “Shopkins” initially with the intent of adding humour to the otherwise mundanity of daily life.
My Pop Art Range has been Inspired by Andy Warhol and Ed Schimmel. In these pieces I have attempted to capture the beauty of femininity and themes around women`s empowerment. Trying to capture the beauty of women through simple shapes to convey various elements of women and some of the several awesome features women bring to our world. I believe Women are more than appearance or sex appeal Regardless of gender we are all equal and unique with the same human needs.
I Hope for my work to bring elements of refreshment and positivity to this world in my attempts to capture nature`s essence of God`s uniquely diverse creation through various art mediums.
